Coachworks Consulting awarded IMI Approved Centre Status

IMICentrePhotoCoachworks Consulting has received IMI Approved Centre status.  This recognition allows Coachworks to deliver the most industry-relevant Qualifications, Accreditations and Quality Assured Programmes.  Coachworks Managing Director, Karl Davis, said “it’s great to be able to report that Coachworks Director, Adrian Baker and our back office team have secured IMI Approved Centre status.  This recognition will give our team access to an extensive range of benefits we can offer our clients and future clients”.

This recognition completes Coachworks’ hat-trick in full IMI alignment, as earlier this year Coachworks Director, Adrian Baker, received IMI Accredited Assessor recognition, and Coachworks Managing Director, Karl Davis, received Fellowship status in 2014.

Coachworks Director, Adrian Baker becomes an IMI Accredited Assessor in Automotive Management

adrian photo1Coachworks Director Adrian Baker has received the IMI Accredited Assessor recognition.  The accreditation is designed for individuals who play a vital role in the assessment process of IMI Accreditation.  Assessors are competent business improvers who can accurately assess individuals on their levels of competence in order to ascertain their current level of skills and ability.

Adrian recently undertook a one-day assessment that covered all the essential areas an assessor requires including in-depth knowledge, observation, recording and marking of candidate work and providing objective, evidence-based rational and feedback.

Karl Davis, Coachworks Managing Director said “Adrian is a perfect candidate for this title, and we’re really proud to have taken another important step towards Coachworks’ overall alignment with the IMI”.

Coachworks Consulting Hires Kim Hodge as Business Development Executive

Kim Hodge PhotoCoachworks Consulting has appointed Kim Hodge as Business Development Executive. Kim brings over 20 years experience from working both sides of the Atlantic.

Coachworks-Consulting Managing Director Karl Davis said, “Kim is a great fit with the entire team and will add a great deal to the business, both in respect of her competencies and character.”

Kim will be charged with business development from Coachworks-Consultingʼs UK headquarters. Her last role was head of film, video and television for Park & Co Advertising Agency in Phoenix, Arizona, USA for clients including Coca Cola, Kiewit and Resolution Copper Mining. Prior to that she ran her own business promoting business partnerships through event production, where her clients included International Business Development Group and American Express.

Perfect storm forecast for Q4. But it’s not too late to act

Karl_Davis_Coachworks_620Any plan to batten down the hatches at the end of Q3 could prove to be a nail in the coffin for many car retailers this year, unless they develop an alternative strategy and act fast.

The traditional approach of trying to hold onto as much of the profit generated during the first nine months of the year, to then weather the storm of Q4 losses through to the year-end, will not be a viable course of action for many. (more…)

Race for Growth an “obvious choice” says Tustain MD

After five years of working with Coachworks Consulting via Vauxhall Motors national initiatives, Directors of Tustain Motors Ltd have engaged Coachworks to deliver their best-selling business improvement programme across the group’s own Service Departments.

MD and Co-Chair of the Vauxhall Franchise Board Brian Baxter was already an advocate of Coachworks, but after consulting industry peers and hearing about the “great results” from Race for Growth, choosing Coachworks was an “easy decision” he says.
